I was very hesitant about writing about 9/11. As you all know I'm always on social media. I heard someone say who would want to remember 9/11? I honestly agree but on the other hand we remember it for many other reasons as well. Those who have lost someone or was there when this tragedy happened I'm sure doesn't ALWAYS want to be reminded of what happened. What's crazy is that while I was in class, Writing for Mass Media, someone said that another person on television referred to the clips of people falling from the building as "Death Porn". I personally wouldn't call it that but seeing people fall off the buildings is traumatic!
Every year we bring up this topic about what happened that day and the media always replays the clips. I don't want to form a conspiracy (though that has already happened through the year) but why do they keep replaying something tragic when they know someone who fought in it was there, someone who lost someone or someone who witness it is going to most likely see it? Don't get me wrong, I commend those who fought in it because they didn't have to. I also commend those who are becoming stronger from losing someone in this as well.
I'm not saying that you don't have to think about 9/11 or show your respect but be cautious of those who lived it. Nobody wants to relive a tragedy. God bless.
