Maaaaaannn, this movie was so crazy yet liberating to watch. I want to tell all of you what happened but that would make me a bad person lol. I don't want to do that y'all. What I will say is that I agree with keep your "third eye" open and definitely staying woke. Well you have to. As I say and make it important to say is that black people have been through a lot. This was a great depiction of what's happening now. Black people are being conditioned by white people to act a certain way and as they do they want to be like us.
They don't want us to be around but they want our culture. Then they'll take us and use us for anything to glorify us but knock us down in the same breath. The point here is that we need to be more aware of the things that white people say, do and how they treat us. Not all white people are racist but always be open minded. I don't want to say too much but I encourage everyone to go see "Get Out" and watch out for the messages.
I've been hearing about this beef for a little while now and I wanted to see who was going to say something first to justify it. I heard Nicki's first but I was trying to pick out what punch line would prove who she was talking about. I feel like Nicki uses the same flow when she tries to diss. Don't get me wrong I am a Nicki fan but I've been a Remy fan first. I remember in 6th grade when I found out she was going to jail. Remy Ma been lit ... literally!
One thing I need people to understand is that Nicki Manj is not the queen of Hip Hop. Y'all be "living" for Nicki and I'm still trying to figure out why. Also she always has beef with people. She came at Kim, Keys went back at her and now Remy Ma trashed her. I'm not saying Nicki Manj isn't talented because she is. What I'm saying is, Nicki Minaj HAD better flow when she was more on the Hip Hop Streak but when she started showing that "Barbie" side she was becoming pop artist. Are you Street or are you a "Barbie"?
Now to Remy, her flow is different now but to me it never went drastically left. Remy Ma, still goes hard and still has the same flow but never left us disappointed. Everybody saying she's old, she needs to sit down and that she's nothing but a "Love and Hip Hop" bitch. Well she's getting a check and it's not like she's done with the music. She made that quite clear in this track "Shether". She had endless metaphors and she never stumbled. Her track was like the best track since Ja Rule and 50 Cent beef. This is just my opinion and I think Remy Ma won. She had a outline, first draft, second draft and a conclusion for this track. Needless to say Remy Ma did her homework and got all of us right together.

I don't know if anyone else does or does not know who this is but she's a well knowing comedian. Her name on Instagram is Jess Hilarious. She has been getting so much back lash about this picture with her son for a while now. I remember her posting this picture before the topic started surfacing again. I won't lie, I thought why was she naked with Jordan's but when I looked at her son I'm like okay I get the concept of it. I don't think this picture is inappropriate at all because when she took this picture I'm sure she wasn't thinking of it any other way except a pic with her child to remember.
I feel as though people are giving her hell because they're sexualizing it and that's why it's considered wrong. I mean what can you say about a mother taking a pic with her son? There's so many women who takes pictures like this with their child/children. People aren't taking pictures with their children for it to be sexualized, they're creating memories. I get where people are coming from for the simple fact that she's naked but is it really that deep?
Also, another thing that got me was the comedian Corey Holcomb, known for being on "Wildin' Out", calling out of her name. That was inappropriate for him to say and yes people are entitled to their opinions but why does she have to be a whore? As I said the picture looks fine and I take it as just a bond and a memory being created. What are your thoughts?
I recently had a conversation with one of my good friends about people who were our age (20+) and didn't have any distractions as we have, to make it. Back then you could tell how hungry they were to make it big and show the world what they were made of. In the world we have today we are so enslaved by technology that we forget about what really is important to go where we want in life. We wake up, text, post, watch and stay glued to our phones for hours. We call that being "productive".
To anybody that made it before all the technology we had were starving because it was hard work. Through every social network, it's easier to contact people, see potential and become famous overnight over "simple shit". For example, "Cash Me Ousside". The girl became famous for saying that line which was from disrespecting her mother. That's not talent that's just something to talk about. People who are actually do something are trying to do things that will inspire others and motivate them to do what they love.
The media is a very powerful tool. With that being said, Denzel Washington made a statement to the affect of technology using us or us using technology. That's what we have to ask ourselves. What are we really doing with this technology? Are we hungry for what we want or are we starving? We have to eliminate what's separating us from what we need to do as suppose to what we want to do. We can all do better but it starts with us first.
I've come to a point in my life where I'm taking things for how they are and not forcing anything. The more we force things, nothing good comes out of it. Don't force anything, not even a pony tail sweetheart. I mean when do we tell ourselves the time is now to get it together? The time is now to elevate because time is slowly ticking but it's going! We have to get up, get out and get it! We can't stop ourselves for anyone and we surely can't live in the past. The past is what got us here and teaches us to move on from things to be in a better position.
What happened then, isn't supposed to stop you from what's going on today. You have to get to a point of acceptance, reaching for nothing but good things and positive energy. I'm still learning to not overthink and let things be because it is a process. Nothing comes easy. Remember the grind is not only for you. The people who put you last will feel you first for a fact. You have to put the energy out there that you will be the best at what you do no matter what it takes. Build goals, write them down and look at them every day. Tell yourself what you're going to do and it will happen!
If you want all of this as bad as you want to breathe, put in the work. Everything that leads up to the success that you want will all pay off and you will thank yourself abundantly for it. Remember YOU are the one in control of your life and whether it goes up or down is based on you. You got this champ, never lost sight of what's for you. Don't give up!
Before I go in about how much I love this song let me say that I think Dj Khaled's son is so adorable and he's going to grow into a fine young man. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but there are endless videos of Khaled giving his son endless motivation letting him know that he's going to grow to be the best and how he's going to help him to achieve that. I think that such a beautiful thing to see and that's something we need to see more of.
Now, to one of the best songs out! I've never been apart of the hype when it comes Jay and B but I'm no hater. I think they're great together and when they make music it's a great experience. These two never fail at working hard to deliver, especially Beyoncé. There are so many people who look up to Jay Z as a businessman and there people who look at Beyoncé as an icon. They do something for the people. What I love about these two on this song is their flow because they switched it up. The flow goes great with the beat and again, it's catchy.
Dj Khaled did very well with the production because this a type of beat where as soon as you hear it, you want to stand up and start dancing. At least that's what I feel and I listen to this song every day! This song makes me feel motivated, elated and ready to start my day! I'm proud of this track and it's a hit!

Looks like we have another hit from Tink and G Herbo. I didn't see this collab coming but I like it! Better yet I love it because I love Tink and her voice. Also G Herbo goes in when he spits! On another note this song dropped a few days ago and I just heard it the other day on Twitter. To me it was very unexpected!
I think this song is very cute and the chorus is something you can sing all the time because of how catchy it is. As I write about it, I keep singing it. For some reason this song reminds me of a early 2000s collab because it makes you think of a "true" love story. Tink always kills it with her voice. She has a voice that's very angelic and touches your soul making you want to sing along with her. G Herbo has a rugged voice and when he raps you want to listen and you want to know what he's talking about. I became a fan of him when he was on Chiraq with Nicki Minaj. These two together sound great and the sound is different.
Overall make sure you check out this new track and tell me what you think. You can check it out here 👇🏾
What does V Day mean to you? Well, to me V Day is about being a little bit more romantic than usual, to show someone just a little more special they are and what they mean just a little bit more. Y'all get the point. What if V Day was about black love and black love only? Y'all see the sign. Black love is looked down upon because society always shows that black love is always broken and ruins the kids in the long run. Black love is a beautiful thing especially when it's built upon a beautiful bond.
I'm not knocking any other race about love but think about when you watch tv. Remember how Good Times had a black mother and father with three of their kids going through rough times but still managed to love one another? Then on The Jefferson's how Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson were together and had a son and through their petty arguments and their son going through his mess they still stuck together. These days people use this day and a Valentine for the flex. Black love is more than two people. Black love is two people, coming together as a soul, creating a being and building a beautiful forever grown solely on love.
Think about having a love with someone where the both of you believed in the same things when it comes to love, politics and religion. Then you two creating a way to fight against equality. What if you could find ways together to help other people, the black community and be there for other couples as well? Love is on the inside of you two and also on the outside. Love is also meant to be shared. If we kept it to ourselves, how could we teach others the effects of what love can do? Today isn't for the flex, show people what love is really about. Happy V Day everyone.
All of these can be hard only if you let it. We make things hard by making hard on ourselves when the reality is, there's a solution to our problems. When you love someone, you get attached and that's the person you want to be with, there will be bad times. In those bad times there can be some type of worry because you're afraid of "losing" something or you feel like you can't move on. If the relationship was bad and you couldn't benefit from it you don't lose, you gain.
Relationships aren't easy but if someone loves you, you can always try as long as you're ready and if you know what you want. The break up is challenging though. When you're young, you always think that the special person that you have in your life may last. We have to go through some things to understand what we want, like or dislike and understand ourselves better. Sometimes we meet people who are just like us for us to see what we should change about ourselves and things will repeat themselves to understand why past situations didn't work out.
Break ups are also life challenges, they'll help you think about who you are, what you can change and think about why the break up happened. You have time to think about certain things to know what you can do better in the future. You can start over if it's meant to be as long you don't live in the past but if the circumstances are rough you may have to let go and move on. There are many aspects as to why these things can be hard or easy but is it really hard? If so, what's hard about it?
I've never been more excited at the fact that it's black history month. We've dealt and still deal with so much today. We have police brutality, racism, constant stereotypes and many other things that can go on and on. This isn't about what we go through, this is about why I'm proud to be black and why we should treat our people with more respect and love. I love being black because of our culture, the families we come from and how they take care of us and how much we can make things happen with nothing.
Being black, is a beautiful thing. There have been so many people in black history that have fought for us to have a voice, to be treated equally and for us to be able to come together and beat the stereotypes we face day to day. Aside from that we are beautiful people inside and out. From the outside we have these features that stick out and have shape. We are defined and our skin glows. Then on the inside, we have strong hearts and we fight for what we stand for.
Thing is with us, we have to get better with treating one another better and appreciate each other for what we do. We need to support our businesses, take care of ourselves, and involve ourselves in the community. I'm not saying I'm the best at what I do but I would love to make a difference as much as I can. Some of our brothers and sisters are not that informed of Black culture and we have to educate ourselves to educate the future generations that are ahead. They have to know that they are somebody and that they have purpose. Rememeber your melanin pops severely.
