I am back and I see that I have been away for a few days but it seems so long. During those few days, I have been on social media and all I have been seeing is Arthur memes. I don't know who created these memes (not that we ever do know) but I have to say they are hilarious. I saw this picture just now before making this post and I kind of chuckled on the inside because we say this about ourselves.
I love my people but I have to admit we create things and sometimes we do take it too far. At the same time we know that it's not to hurt anyone it's just to have fun. I shouldn't laugh but why not ? My people are creative, funny and everything America has is because of us. I'm not about to get into a history lesson but I will say that I am sorry that the creator of Arthur feels this way. As old as he looks, who would have thought he'd be on social media ... NO SHADE!
Growing up, I loved Arthur and I also feel like if you're mature enough being apart of the audience looking at these memes, then offense shouldn't be taken heavily. I could understand why the creator would be mad and maybe just MAYBE I MIGHT be offended because most of those memes were derogatory and involved vulgar language. Being who I am I would have laughed.
Moral of the story is, black people don't ruin anything, we make it funny. Kenlo is signing out.
I never thought I would be seeing headlines of Miss Cleo passing away. When I was younger I would always see her on TV and hearing her slogan, "Call Me Now". Though we know her as a psychic on television she's also known for other things.
Miss Cleo was raised a Catholic and had two daughters. In addition, she once was a playwriter who acted in her plays as well, she played the voice of a character on GTA: Vice City and a spokeswoman for Fuse television network.
Rest In Paradise Miss Cleo!

Usher, Usher, Usher! I believe he's one of those artists who likes to disappear so he can cook up something great and make sure his song is always talked about. I was told about one of his songs because I didn't know he had a new son. Then I heard it on an Instagram video and liked it. It was only a snippet.
Today, I gave the song a try. I feel like Usher was going towards pop before but once I heard this song I see he has not lost his touch. He's still a charmer when he sings. This is another banger and you could definitely blast this in your car. When it comes to Young Thug I never know what he's saying but I believe he has a flow. He makes the beat bump when he does flow through it. The collaboration was a good one and I didn't expect Young Thug to on an Usher track but I'm amazed.
This is track is definitely worth the listen. To check out this new hit , CLICK LINK BELOW 👇🏾
The road to success is a funny one but it's well worth it. There will be ups and down. There will always be those days that you want to give up. During those times that you are feeling confused about what you want to do or feel like you just want to give up, don't forget those that are in your corner. The people who are in your corner are the ones who have your best interest at heart and want to see you succeed.
The people who want to see you succeed will always motive you and remind you constantly about your purpose. When people see your purpose even when you don't they know that you have what it takes. Also, they seem to realize more about what you entail more than you do for yourself. Next to the people who want you to succeed are the ones who don't believe you all the way. They will say you have what it takes but they either want to see you fall or in reality don't support what you stand for.
Those people are the ones you remember because those are the ones who front/fronted on you. They are also the type of people who decide to tell people they know you or want to show face back in your life when they see you making it or getting on top. They become distractions so they can bring you down to who you used to be. Always believe in who you are, what you stand for and never let anyone knock you off of your road. The road is tedious but it's worth it when it comes to what you love. Once you see the vision for yourself, you can surely make it happen.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF FIRST 🙌🏾
I know it's late everyone but your girl just clocked out from gettin' to this "shmoney". I've been meaning to post this but here it is. I met Bri Steves when I was apart of a radio show and one day while I was down South St. I became a groupie and gave her a huge hug lol. I am such a fan.
My new favorite song by her is "Summer's Mine" which you can see up top. By what I'm saying you can clearly tell that I fell in love with the song. I was jammin I can't lie. I sing it all the time. She gives such an old school vibe which is another thing I love about Bri Steves. If anyone doesn't know she is from Philly. Everybody from Philly needs to check her and her music out. Follow her on IG (Instagram) @bristeves and to follow her music click the link her bio.
Last but not least to check out her new song and video - CLICK BELOW 👇🏾
Being a native of Philly I feel that it is only right that I show my love to those who are out here coming up no matter what the hustle is. In a city known as "Brotherly Love", not so much love is always shown. With that being said, I've been following Thomas Ames (also known as Tizz) and wanted to check out his new short film, "Young and Naive"
Long story short I LOVED IT! Usually when you watch short movies you don't get the emotion but I got the emotion out of how everyone felt. What definitely got me the most was what the little sister was going through. A girl can never say that have not been naive over a boy that they really cared about. In addition, the shooting got me too because the sister got hurt as well. I almost cried and that just lets you know the acting was very well done.
I don't want to give too much away about his new work so, if you haven't checked out this new short film or some of Tizz' other works check him out on Instagram (tizz_215). Also click the link below!

Tonight I want to dedicate this post to my little cousin India. My little cousin is about two years younger than me and fights for her right to speak up about the black community any chance she gets. She also talks about the things that are destroying our youth as well. This young lady has always been in her own world but I never knew what her world was full of.
The more that I see my cousin grow into a beautiful black queen she motivates me every time I see her stand up for something or speak about injustice. At her graduation when she accepted her diploma she put of the fist of Black Power and her cap read "Black Lives Matter". I'm proud of her because she's furthering her education and she using her voice for something positive.
I ran across a picture of her on her page on Instagram speaking to a big crowd of people about what she believes in. I commend her and I thank her for being one of those people. My point is also that if we don't make any moves about what is affecting us we will continue to be victims to what is happening to us. We will take things for how they are and it will become acceptable. Never be afraid to stand up for what you believe in.
When you you stand for what you believe in, you show that you believe in yourself and what you love. If you have a problem with something it is okay to speak on it. A person or people will never know how you feel unless you open your mouth. You know what they say, "A closed mouth never gets fed". Don't let anyone get in the way of something you feel strongly about. Keep fighting for what's right.
Praise God, Stay Humble and Remember Black Lives Matter ✊🏾
Hey everyone, I hope everyone is having a lovely night out or inside. So tonight I want to talk about this new app called, "Pokemon Go". Before I start I want to let everyone know that I am not being a kill joy but in my opinion I feel like it's a way of distracting everyone from what's really important.
I'm not informative on what this app entails but from what I am seeing on social media, I see you are anywhere around the world searching for Pokemon and catching them. It seems fun but also strange because you can see the Pokemon on your phone but not in reality. If you're pointing at something saying , "There it is" and nothing is there, it's questionable 🤔.
Pokemon has been around since before I was born and it's clearly more than just a show. Just think about this though. What if this is a distraction to get us to become comfortable with having so much fun that we forget about racism, police brutality and learn how to love one another? There's so much going on right now.
I say this because from what I notice, after the four shootings that happened within 48 hours, Dallas shooting and Black Lives Matter protests that are happening, the Pokemon Go app suddenly comes out and this is the new topic that is heavily talked about suddenly? My whole things we have to be conscious about what's going on because if we don't we'll become ignorant and not understand the purpose of what's going on. There are signs out here to wake us up to other things to not only help us get it right but to enlighten us to what's coming next. Stay woke!!!
Praise God and Stay Humble ✊🏾
This is your girl Kenlo back at it again with another post to talk about our city's (Philaddelphia) own Lil Uzi.
Now I have to be honest, I just became a fan this year. Don't get me wrong though. I have heard of Lil Uzi and saw his mixtape floating around on social media. Then this year I heard a lot of his new songs from his new mixtape, Lil Uzi vs. The World and discovered that it was him. I decided to check it out at work while cleaning dishes and was beyond, "TURNT", as we say lol.
Money Longer also happens to be one of my top favorites on the mixtape as well. Lil Uzi to me is one of those people who isn't afraid to express himself in and outside of the mixtape which you can see on his social media. He's different, expressive and he's a different kind of crazy.
His new video for "Money Longer" released July 8th and today I checked it out. What I think about the video is that it's definitely different because of who Uzi is. There was a plot, and it was fun. I was intrigued by what was going on in the video because it was intense and kept leaving me with the question, "What's next after this part?". I would definitely suggest checking this video out.
You can check it out here 👇🏾 NOW!!!
