If my daughter came to me and told me she was pregnant I would be devastated because when you're parent you think, "Where did I go wrong?". All parents do it when they see their children/child going on a different path than they hoped for them. I'm only 21 and I'm glad I didn't get pregant at this age because at 16 I was very immature, just started working making only $4 an hour and still in high school. Also, at that age for everyone you're still learning about what you want, you don't even know how to date and all you want to do is have fun. When you're 16, your hormones are racing and you want to know what sex is like. Everybody wants to know but forgets to be protected before going through with the process. They also don't think about if they're ready or not to have sex.
Once you get pregnant at age 16, I'm sure your mind is racing about what steps to take now that you know. Should you get an abortion? Should you give the baby up for adoption? Also, if you should keep it for you to take care of with the help of your loved ones. Most times 16 year olds who do end up pregant, don't have that support because their parents are disappointed or they can barely take care of themselves. I don't believe in abortions and I would be upset with my child only because she wasn't protected and she didn't make the right choice. I would be there for her, I say this because the person who's in her stomach is my grandchild and I wouldn't want him/her to suffer due to my child's mistakes.
Now, let's say if it was my son. Yes I would still be there. I can't be there for him (or my daughter) 100% because they need to know what it's like to put someone else before them and the experience of taking care of another human for 18 years or more. They need to know budgeting, funding and what to get for their child while surviving as well. As I said, I wouldn't let them suffer but I can't do everything for them. These days, I do see baby showers for young men and women are with child at this age and I don't think it's acceptable. I say that because you're telling other teenagers that at 16 you're an adult and you can do everything your own at this point. You can't! My child wouldn't have a baby shower but still, my child will not suffer. That's all folks!
Can we take a minute to wish the King of Pop a happy birthday? Who remembers what they were doing when we all found out we lost him a few years back? I remember hearing about it on tv and just being shocked. I thought Michael Jackson was full of magic and he could never pass away. I was so obsessed with MJ as if I knew him my whole life. I can't even remember the first time I heard him but I do know that when I did hear him it was when he was apart of The Jackson Five and singing "ABC". I loved his voice and from there I wanted to know the rest of his songs. Regardless of the things that media has done to wash his good side away we will NEVER forget who MJ was or how his music made an impact on the entire world.
What's your favorite MJ song? Honestly for me, there's so many to choose from that I can't just settle with one. MJ had a lot of great songs that you just have to fall in love with. One thing we can agree on that we lowkey wanted a diamond one piece like him on "Rock with You". Like where do you even find one of those? Lol. Only the King of Pop can pull something so extragant off. Every time the media talks about him or celebrates his life, I still am shocked that the wold doesn't have MJ anymore. His music will always be alive! If you're out, chillin in the house or in your car, listen to some MJ. In a time like this, while it's raining and it's relaxing, "Human Nature" would a great song to play.
I hope everyone is enjoying their time listening to MJ! Again, happy birthday to the King of Pop. That's all folks!
This girl to the left of me makes me proud of her every day. She constantly tells me how much she looks up to you and I constantly tell her I do this for her. She and I are only two years apart but as her big cousin I watch her makes moves like she's my big cousin. She doesn't let anything or anyone get in her way. As she grew up I always looked at her and thought, "Hmmm I wonder what she's going to be when she grows up" but activist never crossed my mind. First of all, my little cousin is 19 years old, has been in the paper twice and prepared a March by herself with amazing talent and speakers. She shut the city down from City Hall to Cecil B. Moore yesterday.
If you don't know who India Fenner is, you better know now because after that march, that isn't the last time you are going to hear about her. Again, she is only 19 and making moves like she has 3 kids of her own lol. I'm so proud of her and in the future I hope she never fails to keep pushing and striving for our black people. The turn out of the march was great. Everyone was enthused, no one gave up and the talent was great. There was a singer and poets and they killed it! I think it was best that it was best that we had this March because people need to understand that the Black woman is who we need and who gives us strength every day. Let's not forget that!
Again, shoutout to my little cousin and make sure you get to know who she is. While you're at it make sure you connect with her. India Fenner is a look and a vibe that you do NOT want to miss out on. This is not for dating purposes these are for better purposes that we do not act upon! The March was great and hopefully we can come together for something like it again! Thank you and that's all folks!
On a little journey in the city of Philadelphia, I ran into an aspiring artist and his best friend! They were both promoting their art and they both had great pieces to show. We only had time to catch up with Tajiy and we talk about his art, journey in art and future plans!
You don't want miss this and to check out more of his art, follow him on social media @tajiyposce_. Thank you for watching!
Ever since that riot in Charlottesville and what Trump said about it, I've come to the conclusion that white people have to stand up to other white people who are racist. White racists already don't like or accept black people so us saying something isn't enough. As this young lady in the picture said white people need to accept the truth for how the American government is ran and brought up. I don't expect white people not to use their privilege but what they hear and see it just not enough. There's no need to talk about it or be against it if you're not really for agreeing with standing up for it.
Let's talk about this video. So the girl in the left picture tore this woman in the video down to her feet because she was being racist. Also, the woman threatened to shoot the girl in the face and you'll hear that in the video. I don't think she was wrong because this time was eventually going to come when one white person fights another white person for being racist. We need more white people to stand up for their own because they'll know that we aren't separate because we're all the same people. We are born the same and under one God. Not to be religious but once white racists learn that we are equal then they won't separate us from them and from each other.
If you think the girl was wrong for what you did then I have to question you. I really do. Why? Because do you think talking would have diminished the situation and the woman being racist? I think not. Talking for what? I'm sure she got her ass beat first, for disrespecting the girl but secondly because she decided to be racist. Racism is not allowed and it's wrong point blank! Yes there a lot of things that happen in the world but situations that cause us to hate each other but hating ourselves! What's a world with hate? "Issa Trump."
That's all folks!
Most people have dreams and they have a lifestyle that they want to live. To achieve this certain lifestyle they first start with that dream but a dream is only a dream if action isn't happening. Most people will even tell you that your dreams or whatever you want to do with your life is just a hobby. Those who tell you what you do is just a hobby don't undestand the work you have to put it in and don't know about just the work that you do. Just because they aren't watching also doesn't mean that you aren't doing anything. You can't let people who don't know nothing about what you're doing dictate how your life is going to turn out due to what you like/love to do.
No one likes to hear what they're doing is just a "hobby" because that's when the self-doubt starts to kick in and you start to give up. Everybody is finding themselves and learning what their calling is. As soon as you find your calling, you need take heed of that and go for it. People are going to doubt you because first all you have is the idea. As soon as you have the idea, write it down, write the plans and execute those plans. As soon as the plans start being executed, the dream will then become a reality. A person can't tell you what is the right or wrong thing to do unless they've had the experience.
Sometimes the ones who think you won't go far are the people you need to run into because those are the people who either make or break you. If you let them make you you'll undestand why the journey is tough and learn to appreciate why the journey to success has its ups and downs. If you let doubters break you, you'll always keep delaying time on yourself trying to please other people and listening to others who don't even know what kind of person you are or really don't undestand who you are. You know yourself so why not take the attributes you carry and turn it into something that can change your life for the better.
This is not your hobby if you can't shake the feeling! This is your dream! First get your life lol. Now get it together, write your plans and execute them! That's all folks!
For most of our lives we were conditioned to believe that this country, America is for us and will fight for everyone in this country. Instead that's not what it's really about and I'm happy to see that most of us have realized and grasped the truth about America. America is for the white Americans, not the Americans of color. Why are the people of color treated poorly? Why are the people who aren't American not allowed? Why are the poor still not treated like humans? Why are racist riots happening and nothing is being done about it? Why do we have a reality tv star for a president? There are so many questions and I bet they do have answers but America is a circus and the show goes on and goes each and everyday.
They said, "Home of the brave. Land of the free". Doesn't really mean much. All we want is equality yet get hurt trying to fight for it. What is wrong about fighting for what's right? We need to face the facts and realize America will never be great again because it's not about making it great. It's about making it predominantly white to kick out the people of color. They don't want us here but we helped build what's here. Additionally, a lot of people in history who have fought for equality didn't fight for us to be separated, it was for us to come together.
With all this this being said, to stand up for the flag is almost like saying that you accept what is being done to this country and it's people. Also, it's okay to live with the fact that this country is going in shambles due to its beliefs and the kind of government we have. I was at my brother and sister's high school graduation and they wanted us to stand for The National Anthem and I watched everyone stand before I did. The feeling I felt standing up didn't sit right with me because how can I respect a country who isn't really for everyone?
Would you sill stand for The National Anthem? That's all folks!

Hey all, so let's get right into it. Our guy and one of my fave artists A$AP has come out with a new album. Are we here for it? I am for sure! I've always loved A$AP Ferg. Another NY guy from Harlem who has style and too cool for school. I think the album is hot. He has that style where he talks about everything and turns it into a rhyme. I'm also feeling the the cover of the album, to me it was like he did it for the culture. We know how guys feel about their waves or whatever they like to call them lol. Other than that I don't see any flaws on the album. Ferg always has songs that you can bop to.
My favorite song on the album is "Plain Jane" and it's because the beat goes hard. I always love a song I can keep going to for a little boost. I honestly didn't know that Ferg was on the works of something great but he sure did his part! I've always like Ferg not only for his music but hair him being the person that is. Not saying that I know him personally but think about who he hangs with (A$AP Rocky) and where he comes from. Ferg has style, bars and he's laid back but at the same time knowing he's the shit. He proved that in the album. I listened to the entire album and I wasn't disappointed at all.
Ferg has a tight slow and it seems to me, he can flow to anything! You can hear that his niche in music is "trap music". I could get deep if I wanted but it's only right I let you get a chance to listen to it. Check it out now on iTunes!
Yesterday Dave East released his latest album "Paranoia: A True Story". I just listened to it from from to back this morning. I have to say I was impressed. The first time I heard of Dave East, I looked past his raps because let's face it y'all, Dave East is soooo fine and I want to have all the rest of his babies lol. Just kidding lol. Back to the topic, I did see a freestyle he did and he "ran it". Dave East is just a cool ass Harlem dude with a hot ass flow. We can't lie about this.
What I like about the album is that it doesn't focus on one topic or stays with one flow. He's a gangster, a great father and he's a sex symbol and you can hear it all in this album. I also love his voice and how grimy it is when he raps. He takes you back to the time when dudes actually did rap and had a story to tell (true or not). I don't know why but I liked that he added the skits because we get a glimpse of who Dave East is without being a rapper. In addition, he added the right people on some of his songs.
My favorite song on the album is "Maneuver". The way it starts and the beat reminds me of "All The Way Up". No I am not saying that someone is copying but it surely does give you that NY feel. Also with French Montana on the track makes it even better because he's from NY as well. I don't know what it is about these NY dudes but they're of a different breed. I'm sorry Philly, we've got to do better lol. Pleasssee? Lol. This album is five star and everyone should get a listen!
You can check out the album today on iTunes! That's all folks!
Not too long ago I had the pleasure of meeting Emani of Pish Posh. She had a pop-up shop showcasing a lot of her merchandise hand made. The event was amazing and her items left you in shock! Emani is definitely changing the game in fashion with her art.
Check it out!!!
