I've always aid "Philly ain't shit". It's not the city, it's the people that are living here. People are so used to what they only see every day in this city and there's nothing the city officials are doing about. There are so many homeless people downtown. I don't give them money all the time because I don't want them to put that money towards a habit they can't break and knowing I did that. I would feel terrible. Other than that, they have no place to stay, aren't given much to eat or drink and when the winter rolls in no one can save them. I wish I could save the homeless but I would feel the need to help everybody and that's just something I am not capable of doing. There are people (including myself) that want the best for the homeless. To see this video of someone getting kicked out of their box which they consider a home because of the Pope is down right triflin. Then the people who are cleaning up the box are complaining. They should be thankful that they aren't the ones homeless. Be thankful and grateful for having everything that the homeless want.
The city is treating the Pope as if he' God himself and shutting down the city for what? My teacher informed me today, he came to the city a while back but it never was this big of a deal. I'm all for God but where are the homeless going to do? That's what's important. These people need places to stay, food to eat and something to drink. They need shelter.
