I made this post to continue to talk about bringing back chilvary, real conversation and dates. You know, times have changed so much and people don't know how to really talk to one another or court one another. Why? There's no definite answer but one of the main reasons is due to social media and cell phones. Social media already gives people an idea of who you are which makes it easier for everyone to make assumptions! As far as cellphones, people are always using their phones more than to actually talk on the phone. Everyone usually texts and stays on social media. It's crazy right? You ever see in the movies when people actually talked on the phone, took the time out to go on dates and actually talk? Yea? Me too. Suddenly the world changed.
Now how do we get back to that? Do we ask our parents? Possibly. Most of them are up on the new fads or trends but they also come from a time where the iPhone and the internet didn't exist when they were our age. Communication was a big step before trusting someone. The more you communicate with someone, you can actually get to know someone. Also going out together you get a sense of what one another likes to do and what kind of people you two are. Romance can only be dead if you choose not to really take an effort to get to know someone.
This generation lacks conversation and effort. Conversations are more about sex, instead of asking about the future, goals, education and more important topics. People are in touch physically instead of mentally. What is physically attraction without mental attraction? Physical attraction can soon fade but once the minds connect you become more interested. As far as effort people always want one person to put in the effort to see how much they are willing to without putting out the same energy which is another problem. Why can't people put out the same effort if they're both supposed to be interested right?
Romance is about effort and more conversation than ever. It's about getting to know who that person truly is to know if being with them is worth it or if they're better off as your friend. Texting and lack of effort isn't going to go anywhere. So really is romance dead or do people not know how to communicate?
