When you watch shows from the 90s they always showed family coming together and a love between husband and wife. These shows are what we needed to see to understand what love and family meant especially in the black community. Even today we still need to learn how to love each other. What's sad is that there are so many shows full of drama, showing wives putting up with men and their side chick. Also women fighting one another instead of talking things out or uplifting one another.
Being the side chick is the topic at hand. Why would any woman want to be the side chick? Sex, food and even getting pregnant by this so called man is not going to keep him. Why would you think that? If he wanted you, he would leave his woman for you. Also you're the side chick because you're doing more and he's going back to you because he knows for a fact that you're willing to put with his shit. I hate to be blunt but I HAVE to be blunt. Every woman should think of herself as a queen because that's who she is. A woman is a queen. The sad part about this is that it always comes from a black woman that it's okay to be a side chick. NO, IT'S NOT OKAY BOO BOO!!!
I love all of my black queens but understand that if you label yourself as such you are telling yourself and that man that you want that you don't have any respect for yourself. You also let him know that you don't love yourself enough to walk away for something better. There is someone out there willing to make you smile, shower you with things you need and be your partner. There is someone who wants to build with you emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Never settle for a bondage or just an "understanding" with anyone. Grow to be someone's mate and someone's wife.
Being a side chick is to settle for less. NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS!!!
